There are over 50 spiritual directors in our organization and we are always adding new members. We've found in our conversations, that there are many spiritual places around Atlanta that are perfect for dialoguing with the Divine. These locations are little pockets of peace hidden in the city, out in the suburbs and extending into the rural countryside.
To deem a place to be a spiritual space, is to simply point out that one can find solitude and space to quiet one's mind and become more open and receptive to hearing guidance from some Source within. Generally these spiritual spaces are open to the public and encourage exploration on the grounds.
Each space listed has it's own hours of operation and guidelines. Please direct all inquiries to the website links provided. We do not manage any of these locations.
Please note: We are an interfaith organization. We do not subscribe to one particular religion, faith or belief structure.

mary & martha's place (atlanta)
Mary & Martha’s Place was established in 1994 by a group of women who were deeply committed to theological education, spiritual growth, social justice and ecological consciousness. They believed that women needed a community where they can reflect on their lives, find their voices and articulate their unique spiritual experiences. That belief still holds true today. We welcome you to join the circle. |
monastery of the holy spirit (conyers)
This Order is a monastic institute wholly ordered to contemplation. The monks dedicate themselves to the worship of God in a hidden life within the monastery under the Rule of St Benedict. They lead a monastic way of life in solitude and silence, in assiduous prayer and joyful penitence as defined in these Constitutions, thus rendering to the divine majesty a service that is at once humble and noble. |
